BIOGRAPHY

Julie is an independent consultant and lecturer specialising in Strategy, Change and Learning.

As a consultant, Julie has had a twenty-year relationship with the Shell Group; working with the Vice President Global Brand and Communications - for ten years; as Director for Shell’s in-house executive programmes for six years and as an expert advisor to the corporate strategy scenario team. Her work with Shell companies around the world has given her valuable experience of working across cultures and an understanding of how global corporations think and work.

Julie has worked with many other companies both as an independent and through extensive executive education work with leading business schools.

Julie holds visiting lecturer positions at Cass Business School and Cranfield School of Management, she is an Associate at London Business School and works with Duke’s Corporate Education team in London. She teaches on MBA programmes and presents on Executive Development programmes in the discipline of strategy and change. Her specialist area of interest is human nature and behavioural economics and how these relate to strategy.

Before academia/consulting, Julie worked for ICI (now Syngenta) and Schering and completed post-doctoral studies in New Zealand.
